Born & raised in NC around music & a musical family. Joe started learning to play guitar at the age of 6 from his Grandfather. Started playing in bars at the age 16 in & out of different bands, but none of them were like The Low Down Dirty Heathens!

Matter of fact, Ronnie actually taught Donnie how to play drums! Ronnie & Donnie have known each other their whole lives & played in a band together for 10 years. That’

Matter of fact, Ronnie actually taught Donnie how to play drums! Ronnie & Donnie have known each other their whole lives & played in a band together for 10 years. That’s when Ronnie took up playing the bass purely out of necessity, but he sure took to it fish to water!

Donnie’s the only member of the band who didn’t grow up around music, but he always had a deep love for music & he always dreamed of playing in a band some day! Lucky for Donnie he knew an accomplished drummer, in came Ronnie & he agreed to teach Donnie how to play. Donnie surprised Ronnie at how fast he took to the drums

Donnie had only been playing a year or so & there they were tearing up the local bar scene! Over those 10 years Donnie was forced to learn on the fly, so by the time it came time to form the Heathens he was a well seasoned drummer!
